This Japanese CHiPs soundtrack is much more than a TV tie-in record. You & The Explosion Band bring the same sharp, stylish energy that makes Yuji Ohno-related records so addictive, moving from the funky “Route 101” and “Power Chase” to the mellow, late-night feel of “Ventura Feeling” and “Moonlight Freeway.” A great pick for listeners into Japanese soundtrack funk, city grooves, and Ohno’s cinematic fusion side.
