Pre-AB’S city-pop/AOR masterpiece — SHOGUN-era Fujimaru Yoshino with Makoto Matsushita, Naoki Watanabe, and Atsuo Okamoto, split into “DAY” and “NIGHT.
Fujimaru Yoshino leaves SHOGUN and steps into the 80s here — and you can hear AB’S forming in real time. Makoto Matsushita’s guitar touch, Naoki Watanabe’s bass/arranging, and Atsuo Okamoto’s drums lock the groove with zero waste.
Yoshihiko Ando (PARACHUTE) writes lyrics on three tracks, and the album runs as a concept: Side A “in the DAY time,” Side B “in the NIGHT time.” Backing vocals from EPO and Haruko Kuwana add the final sheen.
