Cosmic mid-70s Tatsuro set where blue-eyed soul, soft rock and city pop melt into one – airy harmonies, smooth grooves and spacey studio craft throughout.
Recorded in the mid-70s with a tight studio band, Spacy balances breezy soft rock, soulful midtempo tunes and gently psychedelic arrangements. The vocal stacking and reverb treatment give the whole record a floating, “spacey” feel, while the rhythm section keeps everything locked for DJs – from the light funk pulse and clean drum intros to laid-back AOR grooves. It’s a go-to Tatsuro album for warm-up sets, Sunday listening and sample-hunters looking for smooth chords, backing vocal phrases and loopable sections.
