Japan Original Pressing.
A rare 2000 vinyl pressing of Tatsuro Yamashita’s one-man a cappella masterpiece — pure doo-wop obsession, built almost entirely from the sound of his own voice.
For Tatsuro devotees, this is a special one. On The Street Corner 3 returns to the doo-wop roots at the heart of his music, with Yamashita building entire arrangements through his extraordinary multi-tracked voice.
“Stand By Me” is transformed with even the string parts recreated by vocal harmonies, while “Gloria,” “Why Do Fools Fall In Love” and the deep Teddy Pendergrass cover “Love T.K.O.” reveal just how deep his love of American R&B and vocal-group music runs. The album also includes the series’ first original song, the beautiful Alan O’Day-penned “Love Can Go The Distance.”
And then there is the record itself: this scarce Japanese vinyl edition was issued in 2000 and is much harder to encounter than the CD. A true collector’s piece — and for anyone who loves Tatsuro, one of the purest ways to hear where his music really comes from.

About the Condition
About the Condition
| Grade | Description |
|---|---|
| S (Sealed) | Still sealed in factory wrap. Never played. |
| M (Mint) | Perfect condition. Looks unplayed with no signs of use. Typically used for records that are brand new or opened but never played. |
| EX (Excellent) | Very clean. May have light scuffs or hairline marks, but plays perfectly. |
| VG+ (Very Good Plus) | Minor wear, light surface noise, no major flaws — a solid average used copy. |
| VG (Very Good) | Visible wear and surface noise. Plays through without skipping. |
| G+ (Good Plus) | Heavily used. Significant wear or scratches, but still playable. |
+ / − may be added to indicate slight variations (e.g. VG+, EX−).
We visually inspect every record, and we clean each one before shipping (play-testing when needed). Even new or great-looking vinyl—especially some Japanese pressings—can have light background noise. We grade carefully by eye and ear, but it’s still a human call, so please check the notes before buying.
