Grey Skies carries the warmth and sophisticated songwriting of her post-Sugar Babe period, while Sunshower takes a dramatic step forward under Ryuichi Sakamoto’s musical direction and arrangements, moving into elastic jazz-funk, urban soul and beautifully modern grooves. “Ai wa Maboroshi,” “Wander Lust,” “Summer Connection,” “Kusuri wo Takusan” and the timeless “Tokai” are all here.
