Celebration is a 1982 Shoukichi Kina album made in collaboration with Makoto Yano, turning Okinawan song into a more open, modern sound. The album blends sanshin-rooted melody with synth-pop, Latin-pop, rock, and festive rhythm, giving tracks like “Celebration,” “Nirai Kanai,” and “Hana” a bright but deep energy. For Record Monster, this is not just an Okinawan folk record, but a border-crossing Japanese groove LP with real spirit and movement.
