Recorded in Hawaii with Haruomi Hosono, Tatsuo Hayashi, Rei Ohara, Shigeya Hamaguchi and others, Lagoon captures a beautifully relaxed side of Shigeru Suzuki.
Cool jazz, bossa nova, AOR and tropical fusion flow naturally through the album, with Suzuki’s elegant guitar work always at the center. From the silky groove of “Lady Pink Panther” and the mellow “Hawaiian” to the nocturnal beauty of “Cordoba no Yoru,” everything feels warm, sophisticated and effortlessly cinematic.
