Japan Original Pressing.
Far beyond conventional idol pop — a bold 1980 Momoe Yamaguchi album where hard-edged rock, futuristic techno-pop and sophisticated urban songwriting fold into one strange Möbius loop.
Released in 1980, shortly after Momoe Yamaguchi announced her retirement, Möbius's Game is one of the most adventurous albums of her final period. Mitsuo Hagita arranges the entire record, connecting hard rock, sleek urban pop and early techno-flavored sounds into a surprisingly cohesive whole.
“Rock’n’Roll Widow” arrives in an even tougher album version, Eiichi Ohtaki contributes the beautifully cinematic “Aishu no Coney Island,” while “Techno Paradise” captures the neon-lit futurism of 1980 almost perfectly. Even the record’s structure is playful: short instrumental passages link the end of one side to the beginning of the other, creating the album’s Möbius-loop concept.
Sharp, stylish and unexpectedly experimental — a fascinating late chapter in Momoe Yamaguchi’s career.

We visually inspect every record, and we clean each one before shipping (play-testing when needed). Even new or great-looking vinyl—especially some Japanese pressings—can have light background noise. We grade carefully by eye and ear, but it’s still a human call, so please check the notes before buying.
