Blue is one of Momoe Yamaguchi’s most interesting late-70s albums, moving away from a simple kayō-pop image into a smoother L.A. studio sound. “GET FREE” has a bright AOR feel, while “喪服さがし,” “タイトスカート,” and “センチメンタル・ハリケーン” bring mellow groove, fusion touch, and adult urban mood.
