Released in 1988, The Actress In The Mirror captures Meiko Nakahara in a late-80s sound, moving between city pop, boogie, mellow soul, and her familiar tropical touch. “Dance In The Memories” and the title track are the immediate draws because of their Kimagure Orange Road connection, but the album has more depth than that anime link alone suggests. “What’s Going On” brings a stronger boogie feel, while “Infinite Love” leans into smooth mellow soul, and “Beach Bar kara no Tegami” shows her softer bossa side. A strong late-period Meiko LP with both collector appeal and real listening value.
