Cut with top-tier L.A. polish, it moves from the floor-ready bounce of “Sexy Dance” and breezy “Malibu” to the mid-tempo fusion of “An Insatiable High.” Flip for jazz-funk drivers like “E.S.P.” and the mellow glow of “Sun Drops,” closing on the nostalgic city-pop sway of “Good (Bad?) Old Days.” Crisp rhythm guitar, syncopated hi-hat, and clav/Rhodes stabs create plenty of loopable passages—sample-friendly without losing the album’s melodic ease.
