No Problem is one of those Masaki Ueda records that feels much stronger than its current overseas recognition suggests. Backed by players like David T. Walker, Nathan East, Freddie Washington, Leon “Ndugu” Chancler, Paulinho Da Costa, and The Waters, the album has a warm LA session feel with mellow soul, AOR, and smooth groove running through it. A surprisingly good and still-underrated Japanese LP for listeners who dig deeper than the obvious city-pop titles.
