Issued March 25, 1985 on Moon Records as MOON-13002, this 12" pairs the 9:15 “Plastic Love (Extended Club Mix)” with the 4:51 “Plastic Love (New Re-mix).” Produced and arranged by Tatsuro Yamashita with lyrics and music by Mariya Takeuchi, the record was cut at 45RPM for extra headroom and club impact. The Extended Club Mix stretches the groove with spacious intros, break sections, and instrumental rides that make cueing and blending effortless; the B-side New Re-mix tightens the arrangement for radio/mixtape use while keeping the silky bassline and nocturnal polish. Recorded and mixed at Onkio Haus, mastered at CBS/Sony Shinanomachi—hi-fidelity craftsmanship you can feel on a good system.
