1980 Japanese boxing-anime soundtrack full of jazz-funk and dramatic cues, from “Ashita no Joe.”
Compared with later 2LP “Soushuuhen” editions, this single LP is tighter and has more straight jazz-funk/disco sections, which is why a lot of Japanese shops tag it as “sampling source.” If you’re selling to overseas buyers, write “1980 Japan original / Orange House ORF-5006 / music Kunihiko Suzuki / includes ‘Joe to Danpei no Deai’ & ‘Doushitsushatachi to no Taiketsu’.” That makes it clear it’s the groovy one, not the 1981 2LP drama set.
