Coconuts Crew – Samba On The Shore (1982, Japan RCA RPL-8135) is the debut LP of the Brazilian-inflected Japanese fusion unit Coconuts Crew. Anchored by key figures like Eliúセルソ (piano) and Kazuo Yoshida (drums), the album features breezy, soulful covers including The Gentle Rain (Luis Bonfa), Tristeza (classic samba), Jobim’s Wave sung by Mari Shinonome, Canção do Mar, and A Lua E Aquela Paz.
