Recorded live in Tokyo in 1982, Mint Jams captures the classic Casiopea lineup — Issei Noro, Tetsuo Sakurai, Minoru Mukaiya and Akira Jimbo — with almost impossible precision and energy.
From the bright, driving “Asayake” and the addictive bass workout of “Domino Line” to the smooth late-night groove of “Midnight Rendezvous,” every track feels both technically dazzling and instantly enjoyable. A landmark of Japanese jazz-fusion, and still one of the best introductions to Casiopea.
