Recorded live in 1982 with the classic Casiopea lineup, Mint Jams captures the band at full power – sharp unison lines, thick slap bass from Tetsuo Sakurai and pinpoint drumming by Akira Jimbo locked to bright synths and chorus-soaked guitar. The set moves from uptempo fusion dancers to midtempo, almost city-pop-adjacent grooves, so it works both as a club-ready record and as a front-to-back listen. For DJs and beatmakers, there are plenty of clean drum intros, breakdowns and short riff sections that loop beautifully, making this one of the go-to Japanese fusion LPs when you want both musicality and sample-friendly energy in the bag.
