Heaven Beach is where Anri’s sound really begins to move toward the sophisticated city pop that would explode on Bi・Ki・Ni and Timely!!. Toshiki Kadomatsu’s “Last Summer Whisper,” “Fly By Day,” and “Nibanme no Affair” bring mellow groove, crisp guitar, and a beautiful seaside atmosphere throughout. With modern reissues now widely available, a clean 1982 original like this has become the copy collectors really want to own.
