A luminous late-’70s singer-songwriter debut—clear voice, mellow folk-pop contours, and Masataka Matsutoya’s elegant arrangements that leave air around every melody.
From the wistful breeze of “Koto Meguri” and “Tōi Jōkei,” through the mellow title tune “Sono Ai Ni,” to the dusky “Last Scene…Sayonara,” the album moves like small city sketches. Matsutoya’s keys/strings colour without crowding—classic, unshowy, and deeply listenable.
