Japan Original Pressing. Top condition!
Pro-Use Series Obi!Featuring Jun Fukamachi and Koji Mizutani. A hidden gem in the world of Japanese rare groove and disco boogie!
Released in 1976 on Toshiba as part of the audiophile “PRO-USE” series, “Hit Machine” is a disco project led by legendary songwriter/arranger Kyohei Tsutsumi under the masked unit name Kyohei Tsutsumi & His 585 Band. Backed by a killer studio lineup including Kiyoshi Tanaka (drums), Hideaki Takebe (bass), Kentaro Haneda and Jun Fukamachi (keys/synth), Tsunehide Matsuki and Kimio Mizutani (guitars), Nobu Saito (percussion) and a full horn section, the album lays down fat, fully instrumental disco and funk grooves. Original tunes like “Caribbean Dream,” “Hit Machine” and “Sexy Bus Stop” sit alongside disco-styled covers of Blue Magic’s “Magic Of The Blue,” The Miracles’ “Ain’t Nobody Straight In L.A.” and Cate Brothers’ “Union Man,” all treated with early Moog and rich strings for maximum dancefloor impact. A key Japanese disco LP that bridges library-like production detail and straight-up party energy—highly recommended for DJs, collectors and anyone exploring Tsutsumi’s deeper work.

About the Condition
About the Condition
| Grade | Description |
|---|---|
| S (Sealed) | Still sealed in factory wrap. Never played. |
| M (Mint) | Perfect condition. Looks unplayed with no signs of use. Typically used for records that are brand new or opened but never played. |
| EX (Excellent) | Very clean. May have light scuffs or hairline marks, but plays perfectly. |
| VG+ (Very Good Plus) | Minor wear, light surface noise, no major flaws — a solid average used copy. |
| VG (Very Good) | Visible wear and surface noise. Plays through without skipping. |
| G+ (Good Plus) | Heavily used. Significant wear or scratches, but still playable. |
+ / − may be added to indicate slight variations (e.g. VG+, EX−).
We visually inspect every record, and we clean each one before shipping (play-testing when needed). Even new or great-looking vinyl—especially some Japanese pressings—can have light background noise. We grade carefully by eye and ear, but it’s still a human call, so please check the notes before buying.
